Shipping & Store Policies
All mail orders are shipped via Canada Post unless local pickup is selected. Rates will be calculated at checkout.
All liquid yeast packs are shipped with an appropriately sized cold pack by default, at no extra charge. If your smack pack arrives already "smacked" or partially inflated, we recommend making a starter or pitching anyway before requesting a refund or replacement. It is highly likely it will still ferment just fine. If it doesn't, contact us and we'll endeavour to make it right.
If you place an order that includes liquid yeast on Thursday or later, we reserve the right to ship the following Monday/Tuesday to ensure it doesn't sit around in warm a postal depot for the weekend. If you still want it shipped right away, please leave a note at checkout or send us an email.
Glass products (bottles, jugs, one gallon kits, carboys, etc.) ship at the purchaser's own risk. We strive to package all orders so that they'll make the trip safely, but can't guarantee that glass products arrive in the same condition they leave.
All grain is sold unmilled. If you require milling services, please leave a note at checkout, or following your order, via email. There is no charge for milling the first 15 lbs. of grain but we reserve the right to levy a small per-pound fee thereafter (generally $0.25 per pound). Please indicate in your order if you would like your grain milled altogether for one recipe or into individual bags.

We currently have two local pickup options for Toronto residents or if you're planning on making the trip.
East end: you can arrange to pickup your order at Brew North (1578 Queen St. E., near Coxwell) by selecting "In-Store Pickup" at checkout. We'll have your order ready to go, but please give us at least a couple of hours to put it together. Liquid yeast orders will remain in the fridge until your arrival, so please be sure to check and make sure you get your yeast.
West end: We've partnered with our friends at Henderson Brewing (128A Sterling Rd., near Dundas St. W. and Landsdowne) for order pick ups. Orders placed before Wednesday at close of business will be packed and delivered to the brewery on Friday morning. Please provide your name and order number to tap room staff at the brewery to pick up your order. As a courtesy to brewery staff, please consider picking up your order during non-peak hours. This pick up option is currently running as a pilot project and its success will depend on the support and courtesy of customers who utilize it. Make sure to buy some great local craft beer from the tap room while you're there!
In the unlikely event that you are unhappy with your purchase, you can return it within 30 days in exchange for store credit. We are not responsible for the cost of shipping returns. Refunds do not include the original shipping cost. If the purchased product has obvious manufacturing defects, please contact us directly to discuss a resolution and we'll endeavour to correct any issues. Grain, hops, yeast and other consumable food items are "final sale" and ineligible for returns.
